We are looking for Customer Service Intern candidates in Hammond, IN to assist with onsite and offsite assignments within Northwest Indiana (Lake and Porter County) The pay rate is $18 hourly plus transportation bonuses. This would be part time work could be once a month or more.

Responsibilities:

• Draft correspondence and other formal documents

Heavy Machinery Mechanic

Staff Source is seeking Heavy Machinery Mechanic candidates for an outdoor scrap yard client in South Chicago, IL. This is a full time, first shift position from 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $18-$22 hourly based on experience.

 

This is intended to be a temporary to permanent opportunity upon successful completion of the probationary period for all employees that meet or exceed performance or attendance expectations. Job Description:

• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance tasks

CNC Machinist

Job duties:

• Operate CNC machines and ensure parts comply with specifications and quality standards
• Read, interpret and make practical application of blueprints, including determining which tool makes each cut on parts
• Calculate and sets machine controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut during the machining process to achieve quality finishes and dimensions

Staff Source is seeking Grapple Crane Operators for a client in South Chicago, IL. This is a full-time temp to hire position.  The starting pay rate is $20 hourly. The shift is 6:30am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday and over time may be required at times.

 

 

Job duties:

• Responsible for moving, lifting, and reposition scrap within the scrap yard and load trucks, and rail cars and barges with metal scrap.
• Performs safety inspections on equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy
• Complete inspections of the crane and surrounding area to ensure safe and adequate travel and operation
• Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to manager

Staff Source is seeking a Railcar Operator Loader/Unloader for our client in South Chicago to join their team. This position may lead to a temp to hire opportunity based on company needs, performance and attendance. Upon permanent hire, employee would be eligible for full benefit package as well as a $3 raise.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with transfers of bulk products from railcar to storage containers both manually and using conveyors
• Detach each rail car to prepare them to be unloaded
• Perform safety inspections of the rail cars
• The Loader/Unloader performs all duties outdoors, in all weather conditions
