Production Operators needed (Sterling Heights,  MI ) Tier 1 automotive supplier seeking production operators to assist machine operators.  Must be able to lift heavy materials.  Position is first shift and is temp to hire.  6:00 am – 2:00 pm Fantastic benefits once hired in!

Responsibilities of Production Operators include (but are not limited to);

• Visual inspection, light packing, sorting and tagging
• Heavy lifting is required for this position.
• Must have experience utilizing micrometers, gauges and calipers to measure parts
• Responsible for basic machine operations including cycling and setting of counting devices.
• Inspection of parts to ensure produced parts meet specifications
• Record and calculate accurate production results on the provided paperwork
• Communications with supervisor, must notify them if parts don’t meet required specifications
• Helping Machine Operators load materials into machine
• Helping remove parts from the die/machine once manufactured
• Must have previous high volume fast paced automotive/industrial experience

Requirements of Production Operator :

• High school diploma or GED
• Background check

• Must have 1-3 years experience in the field or in related area
• Familiarity with stamping environment

Quality Inspectors– Multiple locations-Detroit, MI

Quality Control Inspectors needed for Multiple locations; New Boston, Plymouth, Wixom

Staff Source is seeking Visual Quality Inspectors for multiple locations throughout metropolitan Detroit area–  All shifts available 1^st shift 6am- 2:30 pm  2^nd shift M-Fri 2pm – 10pm, and 3rd shift 10 pm- 6 am.   We provide 3^rd party Quality containment work.  All of our positions involve QC work on automotive interior and exterior parts including different components of  seating, door parts, dashboards, convertible tops, etc.  No prior plant work is required.  We will train!  Pay  rate is $ 16.00/ hour.

Carpet Cleaning Technician, Sterling Heights, MI

Staff Source is seeking individuals to join a Carpet Cleaning team as Technician Trainees for a Residential and Commercial cleaning company located in Sterling Heights, MI.  This is a temp to hire position.  Pay rate is $17.00/ hour.   No prior experience is required comprehensive training is provided.  The ideal candidates should be clean cut, able to communicate effectively with customers,  is trainable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.   The ideal candidate should also have the flexibility to be able to work a 2nd shift from time to time if needed.  This position entails a 3 month probationary period. At the end of 3 months the ideal candidate will transition into driving company Vehicle and managing their own route. Eligible for significant pay increase after this transition into commission based pay structure. No prior experience is required comprehensive training will be provided.   Afternoon and Day shifts available!

Basic Qualifications of Carpet Cleaning Technician:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Have the willingness and ability to learn and work alongside a qualified technician
• MUST  have a valid Drivers License
• Lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs as necessary
• Must be able to pass a Drug test

Shifts Available:

1st shift : 8:30am – 5 pm  Monday to Friday (must work every other Saturday):

2nd shift: 5:00pm – 10:00pm/11:00pm – occasional

Pay Rate: $17/hr  Potential for promotion/increased pay after 6-12 months (based on performance)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in carpet cleaning operations under the guidance of experienced technicians
• Employee is to report to the main facility at the start of their shift. From there, employee will ride along with a head technician on a route to various residential/commercial locations where they will perform their duties (see duties below).
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines under the supervision of a Head Technician (see below)
• Pre-Inspection: Assess the condition of carpets and identify any stains, spots, or areas requiring special attention before starting the cleaning process.
• Preparation: Set up equipment and tools needed for carpet cleaning, including portable or truck-mounted cleaning machines, hoses, wands, and cleaning solutions.
• Spot Treatment: Apply appropriate cleaning solutions to treat stains and spots on carpets, using techniques such as blotting, scrubbing, or steaming.
• Carpet Cleaning: Operate carpet cleaning equipment to thoroughly clean carpets, removing dirt, dust, allergens, and stains. This may involve techniques such as hot water extraction, dry cleaning, or steam cleaning.
• Furniture Moving: Move lightweight furniture as needed to access all areas of the carpet for cleaning. This includes sofas, chairs, tables, and other items that may obstruct cleaning.
• High-Traffic Area Focus: Pay special attention to high-traffic areas of carpets that may be more heavily soiled or stained, ensuring thorough cleaning and restoration.
• Drying: Use drying techniques such as air movers or fans to expedite the drying process after cleaning, ensuring carpets are ready for use as quickly as possible.
• Final Inspection: Conduct a final inspection of carpets to ensure they meet quality standards and customer satisfaction. Address any remaining spots or concerns before completing the job.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the cleaning process or results. Provide recommendations for carpet maintenance and follow-up services as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on cleaning equipment, such as cleaning filters, emptying waste tanks, and ensuring all components are in proper working order.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, including details of the cleaning process, any issues encountered, and customer feedback. Complete necessary paperwork and reports.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and customers. This includes proper handling of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and awareness of potential hazards.

Staff Source is seeking 2nd shift Production supervisor for Manufacturing facility located in Sterling Heights. The position is M-Fri 2pm – 10pm, no overtime. Five years of supervisory experience in a metal shop or CNC production shop required.   Salary- $85,000 yearly- Direct Hire.  Fantastic Benefit package

Job Duties:

– Maintain staff by working with HR to interview, orientate, and train employees

– Coach, counsel, and discipline employees. Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures

– Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
